The Thirsty Koala.

In a predominantly Greek neighborhood (represent!) full of Greek  restaurants and cafes on almost every corner, a little bit of Australia has joined our little clan.

There was an hour wait so the girls and I went across the street to The Blvd. for a drink and warmth from the frigid air outside.

Once we went back, saw and smelled the food around us, we knew.

It was worth the wait.

I ordered the fish taco. Beautifully presented (mobile picture doesn’t do it justice) and yummy to boot!

Moist grilled Mahi-Mahi with avo salsa, shredded cabbage, fresh peppers, cilantro & white sauce (gluten free)

It was possibly the best fish taco I have eaten. The flavors combusted in my mouth and fired me up (seriously, cilantro is hot!)

My friend had the steak taco.

Grilled steak (looked delicious) caramelized onion, pico de gallo, shredded cabbage, cilantro, and chipotle sauce. (Gluten free)

Key Notes:

They don’t have their liquor license yet (we didn’t know this) so you can BYOB until then.

They are also incredibly busy on the weekend (not surprisingly!) Do make a reservation if you’re planning on dinner.

They even have a Koala Club where you can fuel your future addiction by earning redeemable points.

Such enablers.

A happy Koala!
